Rainy Monday at the Beach

 More skee-ball with the kids since it is raining.  Michael scored all kinds of points on the games.  I tried to win Rebecca a Minnie Mouse from "the claw" machine with no luck. She was so sad (Reminds me of my Dad trying to win me Benji on the boardwalk).

 Baby girl with Boopy (her favorite stuffed animal that Mommy bought her) and new mini-Boopy that we found on the Boardwalk.  Now she is happy!

We actually made it out to the beach for an hour later today. Daniel and Daddy were in the ocean the whole time.  Daddy managed to get Rebecca out in the ocean on the raft and she had a blast.  Then Rebecca and Mommy looked for seashells.

Day 2 at the Beach

We had a fun beach day!  Daniel and Michael were in the ocean the entire time - jumping the waves.  Rebecca got into the ocean a couple times as well.

 Daniel and Rebecca love the rides at Funland.  I did not think we would ever get them to leave for dinner!

We had so much fun on the Boardwalk.  Michael went back after the kids went to sleep and won Daniel a monkey and Rebecca a purple walrus.  We also had a delicious dinner at Dos Locos (Holly had both kids on her lap at one point).

Beach Time

 We made it to Rehoboth just in time for a little beach time at the end of the day.  Daniel and Rebecca wanted to be in the ocean the whole time - lots of laughs all around.  (and we had a delicious lunch at Ridley Dinner).  Somehow we all survived the trip (dual DVDs are great).

 At the Grotto for pizza - these kids were starving and both drank 2 glasses of milk before the pizza arrived.

Our Sweet Boy

This flower may look like your run-of-the-mill sunflower. But don't be deceived. It is a very, very special flower. 

Today, while walking with Mr. D, I turned around to see him attempting to pick a flower. 

"No! No, no, n....Ohhhh." Yes, he picked another person's flower. Because, of course, it is silly to think that nature could belong to any human being. 

"D, we don't pick flowers growing on someone else's property. It doesn't belong to us."

He, very sorrowfully, looked up at me holding the single flower in his hand that you see pictured here. Then he said, very innocently and a little hurt, "But Ms. Tara, I picked it for you."

This flower was not the most beautiful one among the many that were growing. But it is the most beautiful flower I have ever seen. This is the first time a child has picked a flower for me. I didn't know my heart could enjoy so much something that is bound to be dead in a week or so.

Thank you Mr. D, for a priceless experience that has enriched my life one hundred fold. And thank youHolly, for sharing your two little loves with me.

Rebecca and Her Big Girl Bed

 Rebecca was VERY excited about her big girl bed!  She said, "Hi Big Girl Bed" when she walked into her room (so adorable).  Unfortunately, Pottery Barn forgot the feet for the headboard and baseboard so we have another installation in August.  But our little independent girl is very proud of herself for having her own big girl bed (even if she did want Mommy and Daniel to sleep with her :)

Daniel wanted to stay there all night with his sister. They were just laughing and tickling each other.  Too cute.
