Fun with Gram and Pop-pop

Both Daniel and Rebecca wanted to leave with Gram and Pop-pop on their flight this afternoon. Rebecca grabbed her coat and Daniel asked to fly on the airplane with them to Florida. I think they are going to be in withdrawal tomorrow without Gram and Pop-pop to play with all day :)

Boxing Day - 2011

Michael spent 3 hours putting the Marble Run together last night! Daniel absolutely LOVES it. He was in the basement for hours this morning with all of us. So cool to see him so happy.

We had a lovely dinner and Sofie and Bob's tonight. It was great to be with our family.

Rebecca is amazing. SHE wanted to play Santa! She took the gifts from the tree, both at our house in the morning and at the folks house midday, and took them too the recipients! No help needed. "this one goes to Mommy. This one goes to PopPop, etc,". And gnotobiotic just little things. She was picking up and carrying without trouble gifts that must have been over a third of her body weight as if they were nothing!

This Christmas is so amazing because Daniel is reveling in it for the first time. I had to tell him a dozen times that if he didn't go to sleep that Santa wouldn't come to our house ;-). He asks all these questions about Santa and his reindeer. He cannot wait for tomorrow morning to come. We are also trying to keep things on the up and up; I keep reminding him that the real meaning of Christmas is Baby Jesus, and that ST Nicholas was a good man whose example was Jesus, and that Santa comes from ST Nicholas, but I think it is more than a bit over the head of a 4 year old... But i couldn't help trying...

We had a great Christmas morning. Daniel was so EXCITED that Santa brought presents!!!!!! He was thrilled with his airplanes and his marble run. Rebecca loved her dolls and talking telephone. It was wonderful to have Gram and Pop-pop here to enjoy Christmas with the kids.
