Winter 2012

Rebecca is all ready for the Super Bowl. Too bad the Raven's did not make it past the Patriots to get in the Super Bowl.

Rebecca's First Snow - Jan. 2012

Rebecca and Ma-ma!

Rebecca kept pointing to the snow this weekend and saying snow! So even though we are all under the weather this weekend, I took the kids outside to play today. Rebecca liked the snow and just had a little trouble walking in her boots. Daniel and I tried to sled a little but it was too icy and the sled took him right into the street.

Rebecca's 1 1/2 year Pediatrician Check-up

Rebecca managed to impress our pediatrician today. She was talking on cell phone and did not make a peep except to say "Up" when he was examining her. He says she is doing wonderful and is very active and engaged. He also noted that she is totally in charge and knows what she wants to do!

She is 32 1/2 inches (75-90%) and 28 lbs. 8.5 oz (90-95%) with 49 1/2 in. Head (100%).

When the nurse gave her the shot she did not make a peep. I could not believe it. We have a smart, tough and independent little girl. They took a picture of her at the office b/c they have a photo board of the kids in their hats!

Daniel moves up to Preschool II

So proud of my big boy who just moved up to Preschool II. He and Harrison now get to go to the gym at 8am together so they are thrilled. Plus there is now a computer in Daniel's classroom and he has two girls in his class who are great friends.

The other day Daniel told us his chicken dinosaurs were disgusting b/c we made them in the oven rather than the microwave. I was just happy he used the word "disgusting". He also told me the Christmas lights on a house were "beautiful". Cannot believe he might go to kindergarten in the fall.

Happy New Year 2012

Rebecca and Daniel had a great New Year's Eve with Robyn and BJ! All 4 kids played in the basement and entertained each other. Daniel was so excited to have BJ sleep in his room. However, Daniel was jumping up and down and talking so much that BJ could not go to sleep, so we moved him to another room.

Michael and I had a wonderful evening with Jen and Bennett - lobster tails, caesar salad and twice baked potatoes and lots of champagne. It was very special to see Robyn at midnight b/c she was so excited and happy that it was 2012!

On New Years Day I took Daniel to Dulles Town Center and we went to the airplane playground, rode on the carousel twice and went on the train. Plus Daniel had ice cream and french fries. Then he even got me to buy him an airplane (b/c obviously he did not get enough for Xmas).

Fortunately the Ravens played later in the day and it was a win against Cincy. So they won their division and Michael is very happy.

Today as I was finishing up a photo book in my study, Rebecca was spreading diapers all over the living room. The next thing I know she is standing in front of me with her shampoo. And I am wondering how did her shampoo end up downstairs. She brought it to me b/c she wanted a bath. As it turns out, she managed to get all the way up the stairs and all the way down the stairs by herself. I could not believe it b/c she has never gone down the stairs before. (if you show her something once, that is all she needs). So happy she is still a Mommy's girl. You can never get tired of hearing her say "Ma-Ma".
