We had the annual Children's Christmas Pageant at Church today. Daniel started out wanting to be a cow but then switched to a butterfly (which was actually an angel costume). He really liked the wings! Of course, he did not want to wait and started to have a meltdown. Then he saw Pastor Stephen who told him that angels can fly - - and that was all Daniel needed to hear! He could fly as an angel. So when Pastor Becca was reading the story, Daniel heard the word "Angel" and proudly pointed to the ceiling and announced for everyone at the pageant, "Look Mommy, there are angels!" Pastor Becca and I decided that Daniel in his own way really understood the magic of baby Jesus. It was very precious and something I will never forget.
