Planes, Hotels and Automobiles

Today is a big logistics day in our family. Michael woke up early to fly home to Virginia to pick up Daniel and fly back to Texas late this evening. I cannot wait to see my little guy. A big thanks to my mother-in-law and father-in-law for taking such great care of Daniel - he loves them so much. Apparently Daniel not want any stories or songs last night and just went to bed asking for Mommy and Daddy - breaks my heart. But Daniel will be here soon and he gets to meet Rebecca tomorow along with my mother who is flying in from Florida.

I changed hotel rooms this afternoon (after just changing hotels yesterday with Michael). Hopefully this one sticks. We were supposed to have adjoining rooms for when my mom joins us, but some man decided to stay longer and will not leave the room next to us even when they explained our situation (the hotel staff has been excellent and loves the fact that we are adopting). So I carted all our stuff to the other end of the hotel. I do not understand some people. At least I managed to get it done before Daniel arrives and the room next to us is now blocked.

The best part of my day:

I went over to Peggy's house today and then we took Rebecca to her pediatrician appointment. It turns out that her medical records show that she was 20 inches when she was born (not 21 inches). Gladney's Pediatrician said she is doing wonderful!!!! I was just happy to be able to feed her and have her fall asleep on my chest. Plus Peggy and I managed to get out for a nice lunch while Rebecca was sleeping. Peggy is the best and has given me all kinds of tips (remember Daniel was already 4 weeks old when we adopted him in 2007). I just keep the picture of Rebecca's beautiful face in my mind and it makes me so happy to see her so content. She is definitely an Angel Bear so I think her nickname will stick. We also determined that she has light brown hair and even more of it than when she was born - very cute.

I am off to the airport tonight to meet Daniel and Michael and then another exciting day ahead tomorrow. Michael has already had Mexican food three time since we have been here and What-a-burger! I think he has scoped out ever place possible to eat in a 50 mile radius. I am just focused on having access to a Diet Dr. Pepper every morning!
